Further Information

Imagine millions of people, freely able to publish anything they like on the Internet whether they are right or wrong. Just remember the "million monkey's a million typewriters" joke from "What is the Internet?" page.

The moral of the story (or joke), don't believe everything you read. The Internet has less quality control than the tabloid newspapers!

As a word of advice for finding reliable information, try to find multiple sites with similar information. It is unlikely that two or more unrelated sites will tell the same tale about spaghetti coming from spaghetti trees. The more sites you can find confirming the same information, will increase the reliability and validity of the information you have found.

However you can be sure of some things, web sites such as the BBC web site, Sky news, WHSmiths and other web sites of known companies or organisations are likely to have truthful and reliable content. You just have to bear in mind that the content on a site called 'billys-world-news.com' might be questionable!

But hey, why should you believe what I'm telling you? cos you're reading this on the Internet, or because you know me? ...interesting! ;-)
